As part of RSPB Bird Watch week, year 1 took part in a survey at home to see how many birds they could see in their gardens or out on a walk. The children then enjoyed sharing their findings with their friends at school.

At Forest School the bird theme continued and in small groups the children made bird hides from a variety of natural materials. Lots of super teamwork took place and there was definitely evidence of budding architects!

Back in the classroom, the children chose a garden bird to carefully draw and paint using watercolours. These are now proudly displayed in the classrooms.
