The Year 7 pupils of Taunton Prep School recently embarked on an exhilarating adventure to Croyde Beach in North Devon, where they enjoyed surf lessons.

For many of these young adventurers, it was their first experience riding the waves, and they took to it like pros under the guidance of skilled instructors. Their enthusiastic shouts and laughter echoed across the beach as they caught their first waves.

Beyond the surfing, this trip also emphasised the importance of teamwork and camaraderie. One of the most significant takeaways from this trip was the friendships that blossomed. Students came together to build sandcastles, play beach football and enjoy a day in the sun.

Mrs Adcock, Head of Year 7, who organised the trip, commented, “This trip has been a fantastic learning experience for our Year 7 pupils. Not only did they get to enjoy the thrill of surfing and the beauty of Croyde Beach, but they also grew as individuals and as a group. The friendships formed here will serve them well as they continue their academic journey.”
