During their first week of term, the TSIMS students engaged in a range of exciting activities that not only fostered a sense of camaraderie but also provided them with unique opportunities for learning, adventure and building new friendships.

The activities included thrilling games of capture the flag and dodgeball. This encouraged teamwork but also ignited the spirit of friendly competition among the students. They also went bowling which allowed students to get to know each other a little better, further strengthening the bonds between them. However, the adventures did not stop there. The students embarked on an exhilarating trip to Air Hop in Bristol followed by an afternoon of shopping allowing them to indulge in some retail therapy.

A focal point of the first week was all TSIMS students travelling to North Devon to spend two days at Ultimate Adventure. They enjoyed a number of activities including archery, orienteering and a coastal walk. However, it was clear that the highlights of the trip for the students was the obstacle course. They also took part in surfing lessons which many of the students mastered although most had never tried it before. Overall, the trip was an excellent opportunity for the students to get to know one another, as well as the staff, and to start working as a unit.

A lovely end to the fun-filled week was an enjoyable Saturday evening with ice cream and a chocolate fountain.
