The groundsmen have been hard at work on the Taunton School campus getting it ready for the warmer months. A lot goes on behind the scenes at Taunton to make sure the 56-acre campus is in tip top shape for the community and that we can improve the native wildlife habitats as much as possible.

Earlier this month one of the gardners spent a week clearing this Hawthorn hedge in order to under-plant it and restore it to its former glory. The Hawthorn is a great habitat provider for over 300 insects and provides shelter for nesting birds at this time of year. It also smells beautiful in the spring. Keep an eye out to watch it bloom!
