On Saturday 18th March, TSI held its second ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ ballroom competition.

This year’s theme was ‘Formal and Fabulous’, and it was absolutely superb to see so many of our students dressed up in formal suits, blazers and impressive gowns.

Each tutor group nominated one pair of dancers, all of which made for delightful viewing. The couples spent the afternoon and evening learning innovative routines.

Throughout the night the scores were especially close, however, Mr Scadding’s tutor group eventually won the competition, with Mrs House’s tutor group taking second place and Mrs Griffiths’ coming third. The judges did, however, reiterate that every participant was exceptionally courageous and should be proud of their achievements.

As the formal dancing drew to a close, an after-party swung into action. Students danced the night away and created a fantastic atmosphere for everyone. Congratulations to everybody who took part in this highly successful competition and made this a special night to remember!
