The Senior School netball teams are celebrating their success at the South West Regional Netball Finals.

The U19, U16 and U14 teams traveled to Bournemouth for the competition, Taunton School was one of the only two schools with representatives in every age group, an amazing achievement in itself.

All three teams played incredibly well, the U19s won two of their six games, the U16s narrowly missed out on the semi-finals coming 3rd in their group and finishing 5th overall. The under 14 team had a vert successful day winning all their matches and being crowned South West U14 Netball Champions!

Following this triumph the team will now travel to Peterborogh to represent the South West at the National Schools final in March.

Director of Netball, Lisa Manley, said ““I am very proud of all the netballers who competed at Regionals, they are a credit to the school. The U14’s are an exciting team with huge potential, I know they will continue to train hard in preparation for Nationals.”

As well as competing in the regional finals, there has been more good news for under 16 captain Zoe, who has also been named in the Northern Ireland under 17 team for the European Championships at the end of February. Good luck Zoe!
