Army CCF Cadets’ Salisbury Plain Exercise
Taunton School Army CCF cadets recently took part in an action-packed exercise across Salisbury Plain and the urban training village of Copehill Down.
From reconnaissance missions and night-time ambushes to navigating smoke-filled streets and clearing objectives through the village, cadets put their leadership, teamwork and resilience to the test. Along the way, they also had the rare opportunity to meet Challenger 2 crews and see the tanks up close.
The training concluded with an impressive demonstration from the Infantry Battle School, featuring infantry soldiers, Warrior armoured vehicles and Challenger 2 tanks.
It was an unforgettable experience and a fantastic opportunity for our cadets to develop confidence, fieldcraft and leadership skills in one of the British Army’s most iconic training environments.
