Year 12 Teambuilding Day: A Splash of Adventure and Connection
In the first week of term, our Year 12 students embraced a day of challenge, camaraderie, and character-building at the Black Rock Outdoor Centre. Transported by minibus to the scenic site, students were immersed in a series of dynamic activities designed to test and strengthen their communication, problem-solving, and risk-taking skills.
From navigating the low ropes course to constructing rafts with limited materials, pupils collaborated with peers they may not have worked with before. The raft-building challenge, in particular, sparked plenty of laughter – especially when a few teams took an unexpected plunge into the lake!
Beyond the fun and splashes, the day offered a valuable opportunity for students to forge new friendships and develop essential teamwork skills. It was a memorable start to Sixth Form life, setting a positive tone for the year ahead.
