What better way to kick off the first weekend of term than with a bit of friendly competition and the sound of pins crashing? Foxcombe West and Foxcombe East hit the lanes at Hollywood Bowl for an evening of bowling, laughter and a few questionable throws.

From the moment the names appeared on the scoreboard (with some creative nicknames, of course), any first-week awkwardness melted away. Strikes were celebrated and gutter balls were met with good-natured groans. Whether you were a secret bowling pro or someone still figuring out which end of the ball to hold, everyone joined in the fun.

The night wasn’t just about scores – it was about getting to know one another beyond the walls of Taunton School. Between turns, conversations flowed, snacks were shared, and new friendships started to take shape. By the end of the evening, Foxcombe West and East had truly broken the ice, setting the tone for a term full of camaraderie and good spirits.
