We were delighted to support Avalon School recently, who reached out last term as they were looking to expand their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award provision.

Developing opportunities like DofE is a fantastic way for young people to build confidence, resilience and independence, and we were very pleased to be able to help.

In early May, two members of staff and two pupils from Avalon visited us to collect ten tents along with a range of spare parts. It was a pleasure to welcome them and to see first-hand the enthusiasm for growing their outdoor education programme.

We are always keen to support young people in our local community, particularly where we can help widen access to experiences such as the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. We hope that Avalon’s students have a fantastic time using the equipment and enjoy many rewarding and memorable DofE expeditions in the future.
