We had a very exciting day earlier this term as both students, Mr Coleman and Mr Johnson were given the opportunity to tour the new boarding house site, meeting the architects and builders behind the project. It was our first time inside the building, and it was wonderful to see the space really starting to come to life.

Adding to the excitement, the group were honoured to leave their mark on the building by signing and dating a steel beam inside the house.

Several project milestones have recently been reached, including:

🏑 Completion of the roof structure, ready for roof covering works to commence
🏑 Completion of the structural walls and steelwork, now ready for external cladding and fireproofing
🏑 Lifting of ensuite shower room pods into bedrooms
🏑 Installation of the vast majority of external windows and doors
🏑 Installation of electrical cabling and pipework
🏑 Installation of the new fire hydrant extension and the start of the sewer connection

It’s wonderful to see how much progress has already been made β€” a huge thank you to everyone involved and thank you to our Futures and Estates teams for organising this valuable session for our students. Stay tuned for more updates soon!
