In a collaboration between the Futures Department, the Geography Department and the Foundation & Alumni Office our Geography and Environmental Science students had the privilege of hearing from OT Henry Wang (Wills East, 1971–1973). Henry delivered a compelling and insightful talk on climate action and the global drive toward carbon neutrality.

During his presentation, Mr Wang explored the critical connections between social responsibility and community resilience, emphasizing that sustainability extends far beyond ecological concerns, touching every aspect of human wellbeing and future development. By illustrating real‑world examples and emerging challenges from his G20 involvement and years of experience, he encouraged students to consider how individuals across all professional fields can help shape a more sustainable, low‑carbon future.

Mr Wang’s depth of knowledge and passion for climate change inspired students to think more critically about the role they may play in addressing a carbon neutral future. His talk served as a valuable reminder that effective climate action relies on informed, motivated, and collaborative future leaders.
