Year 9 student Robbie has been named as one of the top mathematicians in the country after placing 144th out of 600 candidates in the UK Intermediate Maths Challenge, which is a national competition taken by students in Years 9, 10 and 11 from across the UK.

After achieving such a high score, Robbie has been invited to take part in the Cayley Mathematical Olympiad, which is the next stage of the competition and only open to the top 600 mathematicians in the country.
