Old Tauntonian Ellie Chilcott (2015-17, Woodyer) came in to talk to our Pre-Med group of Sixth Formers.

She is in her final year at Cardiff University Medical School, having intercalated with a degree in Neuroscience.

Being able to hear first hand what medical school was like, the highs and lows and what to expect from placements and lectures was incredibly valuable to the students.

She talked about how she has handled difficult situations, and how she used skills learned at school to deal with her workload. Ellie made particular mention of her EPQ which built the foundations for her undertaking a Neuroscience degree. We wish Ellie every success when she starts as an F1 doctor at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.
