Recently, the students of TSIMS went on a Science and English trip to the National Marine Aquarium and Theatre Royal Plymouth.

First stop was the aquarium where students were immersed in an underwater adventure through the sea. They got to see all kinds of fish, sharks, an octopus and many of the student’s favourites, turtles. There were also lots of rock pools that the students could get up close to in order to see all the smaller sea creatures. The students then got to go behind the scenes of the work done at the aquarium and listened to a talk by one of the experts.

After lunch it was on to the Theatre Royal Plymouth to watch the Life of Pi, a theatre show based on the novel some of the students have been reading. Everyone loved the show, and it allowed the students to engage with the story even more. For many of them, the best part of the show was the tiger and how they were able to make the performance so realistic and emotive.

Overall, it was a fantastic and informative trip for the students to progress their learning in both English and Science.
