On Friday 23rd February, Taunton School was transformed into a vibrant array of cultures and nationalities. Throughout the day, students donned their unique cultural attires, ranging from traditional clothing, to flags, to national sport jerseys, creating a spectrum of colour in the hallways and classrooms.

During lunch, fact cards about different countries decorated each table along with a well put together presentation by students playing in the background of the dining hall.

The grand finale arrived in the evening: a massive cultural fair which truly encapsulated the diversity of the Taunton School body. The Old Library overflowed with staff and students eager and willing to engage with the various stands set up by students about their countries. Some of the countries on display included: South India, Belarus, Nigeria, Angola, Ghana, Switzerland, Germany, England, China, Thailand and Albania! The atmosphere in the room was excellent, helped along by the live music playing.

The inaugural culture day at Taunton School was a resounding success, fostering a celebration of diversity and a deeper appreciation for the unique backgrounds that make up the Taunton School community.
