All members of the Taunton School community are invited to join us at the RAF club from 4.30pm on Friday 19th April for the second in our series of Business & Networking Panels.

This free event focuses on entrepreneurship, and we have a distinguished panel of experts and speakers. Guests at the event will hear from entrepreneurs at different stages of their career as well as those who invest in new businesses. This event will help anyone interested in entrepreneurship or those seeking connections with startups or venture capital.

Meet our panellists

Petr Baron (1994-1999, Wills East) is a banker, angel investor and entrepreneur. He currently holds the position of CEO at challenger tbi, a consumer and SME-focused bank providing financial services in Europe. Petr has been an early investor in several technology ventures and was recently featured on the cover of Forbes Magazine. Petr is also a regular ‘Dragon’ on Dragons’ Den.

Jo Barrow (TS friend) is an entrepreneur with a love of digital products that enhance people’s lives. Beginning her career as a journalist at BuzzFeed, Jo soon found her way into the tech start-up world, allowing her to develop a deep understanding of how technology can be used to change people’s behaviour. Jo is the CEO and Cofounder at Curb Health, a digital therapeutic platform aimed at supporting people through addiction.

Dr Grant McAree (parent) had a slow start in the world of academia, having to repeat his A levels to gain a place at medical school. From there he combined his successful dental career with a love of entrepreneurship and has built and sold multiple businesses. Dr Grant’s book, “How To Build A Multi-Million Pound Dental Practice” has reached the number one Amazon bestselling spot and his latest dental startup sold in 2021 for £3,200,000. Moving outside of dentistry, Grant has set up RoboReception, currently valued at £4,000,000 and projected to double in value over the next two years. He remains involved in a number of other startups, including chatbots, a call operator business, and a CRM software company. Driven by an insatiable thirst for success, retirement remains a distant notion for Dr Grant McAree.

Candice Moss (1982-1991, Murray) is a consultant at iUK Academy, where she previously worked as Director of Operations. iUK Academy helps bring together foreign investors and entrepreneurs with UK business and investment opportunities. The company provides hands on business training and support to entrepreneurial individuals looking to transform innovative ideas into successful businesses in the UK.

Brian Rosenberg (1959-1963, Wills West) has a wealth of knowledge and experience in entrepreneurship and has led companies from a range of sectors. His father famously said,’ If he jumped out of a plane, he would land on his feet.’ Brian is currently Chairman of Community Care Systems and its associated companies, specialising in the delivery of nursing care for residents with end stage dementia, including palliative care. Brian is also Chairman of Fitness4Less, a group of fitness gyms throughout England. He was briefly Company Secretary of TV-AM, the first commercial breakfast TV Company in the UK.
