Sixteen of our Year 12 students entered the national Cambridge Chemistry Challenge this year, which has been running since 2011. They faced a 90-minute exam consisting of a range of questions which tested their ability to use their knowledge in ways that are beyond the A-Level and IB syllabuses.

Twelve of our students received awards for their performance in the Challenge.  Eight received the Copper Award (the fourth highest award); two the Silver Award (the third highest award), placing them in the top 30% of the 15,405 entrants; and two the Gold Award (the second highest award), placing them in the top 10% nationally.

Our winners were:

  • Gold Award – Thomas D and Alan X
  • Silver Award – Ralph D and Atul G
  • Copper Award – Toby C, Hartley C, Olivia D, Nicolas DT, Kate H, Anzor M, Will M and Austin W
