In the face of chilly weather, our dressage riders showcased their skills and resilience at the NSEA County Dressage competition last Saturday, emerging victorious and earning prestigious accolades.

The Open team, composed of the talented riders Lilia A, Laura T, Hetty H, and Florence L, delivered flawless and precise tests, securing their positions as winners and County Champions. Florence L, in particular, shone brightly, clinching the top spot and earning the title of individual County Champion. The remarkable performances of both the team and individuals have now granted them a coveted opportunity to compete for the National Title at Hickstead in May.

In the Preliminary test, Lilia claimed the 4th position, and Laura secured the 5th spot, demonstrating their skill and composure under pressure.

The Novice test witnessed outstanding performances, with Florence securing the 1st and 2nd positions, Iris S at 3rd, and Hetty at 6th. Each rider showcased a high level of professionalism and skill, contributing to Taunton’s recognition as the standout school at the event.

Dressage, known for its precision and demanding nature, proved to be a true test of the riders’ abilities. Despite the pressure boiling point, Taunton’s equestrian team exhibited unwavering dedication and excellence. We eagerly anticipate their continued success as they progress to compete for the National Title at Hickstead in May.
