Five musical ensembles involving pupils from Year 9 to Year 13 visited Blundell’s School on Monday 2nd February to present a range of highly accomplished chamber music performances. The Year 9 String Quartet, the Reinecke Trio, Senior Horn, Oboe and Piano Trio, Senior Violin, Clarinet and Piano Trio and the Clarinet Quintet all displayed great musicianship and received excellent feedback on their performing.

The instrumentalists also joined with their musical counterparts to tackle the opening of Haydn’s Farewell Symphony, in an impressive feat of sight-reading. Congratulations to all involved in these groups, who have all performed with excellence on several different occasions this term.
