Namu Climbs to Everest Base Camp
Over the Easter holidays, Year 10 student Namu climbed to Everest Base Camp with her family to raise money for the charity, YoungMinds, for whom she has raised over £1000 so far.
Namu, who had to contend with a lack of basic facilities and altitude sickness, began the trek from Lukla in Nepal and spent nine days climbing up to the base camp, reaching an altitude of 5364 metres.
Namu said, “Every day was a challenge, but I was compensated by incredible views and breathtaking scenery. I had a great team to do this trek with and it was an amazing experience.”
