Both the U13 and U15 girls’ cricket teams have started their campaigns to be National Indoor Champions at their respective ages.

The U13 team started by travelling to Millfield and playing King’s Hall in the semi-finals of the county area. The team batted first showing some excellent skills resulting in both the first batters Megan D and Harriet B having to retire. Throughout the game all the girls batted well resulting in a strong score of 133-3 in 8 overs, claiming victory. Having made it through to the final, the U13 team faced Millfield next. Megan D stole the show by taking 4 wickets and restricting Millfield to a 64-4 score, leading them to victory!

The U15 team were also successful in qualifying against tough local opposition. They played Millfield in the semi-final and got two wickets early on, resulting in bowling them out for 99. The whole team then batted very well leading to a successful qualification into the final against Kings. The team faced King’s College in the final and finished the innings with 10 balls remaining.

Well done to both teams as they try to qualify for the finals at the Somerset County ground in March.
