A group of boarders and day pupils went to Brean to carry out a beach clean up. They began walking the beach and picking up all different types of rubbish such as a flip flop and even a set of wheels.

It was a great way for them to get to know each other and learn about the negative impact that plastic pollution has on our oceans and how we can make a positive difference. Throughout the day the students compiled over five bin bags worth of rubbish and reflected on the products they use and how to become more sustainable in day-to-day life.

“I encourage more pupils to come along for any future clean ups as it really is a lovely way to spend a Sunday. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would like to say a big thank you to Mrs. Mico for organising, we cannot wait for the next one.”
