For a number of years, TPS pupils, parents and staff, have brought in gifts to support local charity, ‘Christmas Sparkle’ which tries to ensure that no matter what their personal circumstances, local children (aged 0-18) have a present to unwrap on Christmas Day.

This year, for the first time, pupils from the TPS School Council spent time at the charity, helping volunteers with the selecting, wrapping and labelling of gifts. In line with our ethos of , “humility, engagement and kindness,”

Tegan Lake, Head of School said, “Christmas Sparkle was a great experience for all of us who went. We discovered the true Christmas spirit of giving while having fun selecting and wrapping presents for those less fortunate than us. The lovely volunteers taught us how to wrap and select the right number of gifts for the age of the child. We all had a great time and now knowing this, we can help wrap presents with our own families. I think we all found it a little humbling  knowing that we have helped make a child’s Christmas a bit more special.”

My sincere thanks to all the parents, pupils and staff who donated presents.
