To celebrate this year’s World Mental Health Day, TSIMS students spent an afternoon taking part in wellbeing activities. Some of the students went on a nature walk and created art using what they found around them. Others played football, table tennis and basketball. The students really enjoyed being outside and working in teams to win their games.

Students were also able to take part in art or mindfulness sessions. This allowed the students to have some quiet time to think about their wellbeing and mental health as well as discuss how they were feeling with each other and the staff guiding the sessions without fear of judgment. Board games were also available to students, allowing them to talk openly and spend time together.

The students also wore yellow to raise money for the charity Young Minds and had an afternoon tea party giving students a chance to spend time chatting with each other and enjoying yummy cakes.
