Adventures of our Junior Boarders
In early October, our Prep School boarders embarked on a delightful excursion to Wells. With the wonderful guidance of Mr and Mrs Wells, they meandered through the historic Vicar’s Close, ventured inside the awe-inspiring Cathedral, strolled around the Bishop’s Palace Moat, took in the ambience of the recreation ground, and relished in the delights of the Flapjackery. All in all, it was a pretty perfect day out for our Thone family. A huge thank you to the Wells Cathedral staff for graciously accommodating our group of over 50 individuals as they explored the Cathedral. We also thank our friends at Wells Cathedral School for allowing us to utilise their grounds for parking.
As the final weekend before the half-term approached, our Prep School boarders revelled in a day of fun in the sun. While the pupils in Years 6, 7, and 8 enjoyed some retail therapy in town, our younger boarders gathered at French Weir Park for quality bonding time. The outing was rounded off with a visit to the much-loved Weir Café before we all returned to Thone for some free time, providing an opportunity to contact home and of course watch some rugby on the TV. With Halloween, Fireworks and Christmas to look forward to there is sure to be lots of fun and festivities coming up!
