Pupils at Taunton Prep School took Vanguard Speech & Drama exams in June.

The children absolutely excelled themselves and worked so hard in preparing various pieces for their examinations. As a result, the results were outstanding. 59 pupils took part in total, with the average mark of our exam results coming out at 90%. 18 pupils were awarded with a mark in the ‘Honours’ banding (90% or greater). This is a fantastic achievement, and it tops off what has been a superb year for Taunton Pre-Prep School and Taunton Prep School Speech & Drama.

The examiner was also absolutely fantastic and made the children feel completely at home, meaning that everyone came out of the exam room smiling. She even contacted us over the course of the weekend to compliment us on what a wonderful experience she had at our school. She thought that the children were exemplary and demonstrated plenty of hard work.

Particular credit must go to Quinn S and Imogen C, who were awarded 95% for Junior Silver Badge Poetry Speaking and Junior Grade 3 Poetry Speaking respectively – our top marks. Other students who received particularly high marks include Ella H, Hedley K, Connie B, Aquilla N, Lydia P, Georgina L, Henry F and Eloise B.

Chris Coleman, TPS Deputy Headmaster, said “It is truly remarkable to witness the incredible results the pupils have achieved. These results don’t come without hard work and a lot of preparation going on behind the scenes”.
