Looking ahead, we have many exciting events in the TPS Music department: our TPS choir has made it to the final stage of the National Choir of the Year competition! We submitted recordings for grading before Christmas and we have been selected to represent our school and our local area in this prestigious national event, taking place at the beginning of March in Birmingham. We are so proud of our amazing children for their dedication to singing and for the enthusiasm and joy that Ms Simmonds brings out of our young singers day in day out. Well done and good luck to all!

Starting next week, our musicians and singers are representing the school at a regional level as part of the Taunton Festival of the Arts music rounds. Our choir are defending their brilliant trophy win from last year, hoping to score highly and win again this year! We also have children of all ages and all abilities competing as solo performers, so we wish everyone the best of luck. The Taunton Festival of the Arts is a big highlight in our Performing Arts calendar and we are proud to be able to represent the school in so many age groups and categories, reflecting the diverse and wide-ranging skills of our young performers.

We eagerly await, and wish the best of luck to, our talented Year 4 cohort, who have started working towards their year group production of Little Red Hen. This is a toe-tapping farmyard fable that promises elaborate sets and costumes, glorious singing, dancing and acting, and a sense of fun together with the brilliant experience of performing on stage as a whole year group. The performance is Friday 1st March at 6pm in the Centenary Hall.
