Zachary Reading, Co-ordinator of Vocal & Instrumental Studies at Taunton School, spent last week at the Pontio Arts Centre in Bangor listening to Ensemble CGWM perform his very own composition.

Zach wrote his composition, named ‘BLOCK’ in reference to the motivic blocks that recur throughout the piece, for flute, viola, harp, and percussion. The composition was chosen to be performed after being awarded the prestigious William Mathias Prize at the Bangor Music Festival.

This is a wonderful achievement for one of our exceptional staff members – well done Zach.
