We have two new Pupil Librarians in the prep school. Congratulations to Grace G in Year 7 and Leila C in Year 6.

Both were regular Library users and expressed an interest in learning more about the Library and helping. They completed a training booklet, with a series of activities about Fiction, the Dewey Decimal System and reference books. They also had the opportunity to think for themselves by working on their own research projects, create a leaflet about the Library, a design display, and write five book reviews.

This has prepared them in their new roles as Pupil Librarians to help other pupils navigate the Library, maintain the calm and cosy atmosphere, and think creatively by contributing ideas to events and displays. They also have the tools to help them with their own research as they move through their academic journeys, and will give them an advantage in the Skills and Research classes that are taught to year 7 and 8 pupils.
