In the Nursery and Pre-Prep there has been plenty of excitement about all the topics and activities that we’re covering this term. Reception has been learning all about Chinese New Year, year 1 have cracked on with dinosaur and dragon eggs, and year 2 have got stuck into all things chocolatey, learning about where it comes from and how it’s made. In Nursery, the babies have been enjoying time outside in their pushchairs, the toddlers have been getting messy with purple foam and pasta, and Nurseries 3 & 4 have enjoyed some cooking, singing and dancing.

In both the Nursery and the Pre-Prep, we’ve also been making lots of music, thanks to Mr Baker and Mrs Symmonds who never fail to put a smile on all of our faces! They have been leading the children in music and song linked to their themes alongside our regular Chapel services and assemblies. Year 2 in particular have been getting adventurous, listening to and creating their own African drumbeats and songs. We’re very grateful to Mrs Symmonds and Mr Baker for all that they do.

Finally, the Pre-prep has been focussing on how we support each other with positive language and affirmation, encouraging the children to talk openly about negative and positive language.  From this we will be re-enforcing positive play and behaviour in the playground.
