This summer, sisters Maddie and Amelie W competed in the U11 Triathlon Qualifier, with both girls putting in fantastic performances and following Maddie’s recent selection to represent the UK at the World Championships in Laser Run, Biathle and Triathle, taking place in Portugal this October, there is now even more exciting news for the family — Amelie has also been selected to compete alongside her sister!

Maddie will take part in all three individual events — Laser Run, Biathle and Triathle — as well as representing the UK in the World Triathle Relay. She earned her place in the relay after winning the U11 qualifying round, which will see her team up with the highest-performing U11 boy in the UK.

This will be a fantastic opportunity for both sisters to compete on the world stage, and a proud moment for their family as they head to Portugal this October to represent their country.
