A Wonderful Start to the New School Year

The Pre-Prep has enjoyed a very positive and energetic start to the new school year. It has been a pleasure to welcome both new and returning pupils, all of whom have settled quickly into their routines and shown great enthusiasm for learning.

The term is already full of memorable moments. Our Year 1 pupils led an incredible sharing assembly, confidently presenting their learning so far to an audience of parents. It was wonderful to see their pride in their achievements and the growing confidence with which they spoke and performed.

We were also delighted to take part in Taunton School’s inaugural Giving Day. The Pre-Prep children particularly impressed with their creativity and problem-solving skills as they took on the challenge of designing and building bridges — an inspiring example of teamwork and engineering thinking in action.

Our Wednesday morning Wake Up, Shake Up sessions have quickly become a highlight of the week, bringing together children, staff, and parents for a fun and active start to the day. It’s been fantastic to see families joining in and enjoying the sense of community this event brings.

Beyond the classroom, the children have embraced our wide co-curricular programme, with clubs such as Woodland Play, Construction, and Small World capturing imaginations and fostering exploration and creativity.

Across all areas of school life, the children have shown curiosity, kindness, and a genuine eagerness to learn. We are looking forward to the next half term with great excitement. The run up to Christmas is a truly magical time in the Pre-Prep and Nursery. Thank you to all of our Nursery and Pre-Prep families in helping to make such a successful start to the year.
