Year 5 recently had an exciting trip to Tyntesfield House, a grand Gothic Victorian estate in Wraxall. Throughout the day, the children participated in various workshops, learning about the Gibbs family who owned and lived in this beautiful property.

They discovered the stark differences between the lives of wealthy and poor Victorian children, dressing up in authentic attire and exploring fascinating artifacts.

The highlight was when they got to play the role of trainee servants, touring the numerous rooms, polishing the silver, and even visiting the children’s nursery which is usually off-limits to the public.

It was a truly immersive and engaging experience for Year 5, who had a wonderful time exploring the historic house. Well done, all!
