Year 1 Enjoys Visit to Dunster Castle
On Tuesday 6th May, our Year 1 pupils had the most wonderful day at Dunster Castle. In the morning the children enjoyed exploring the beautiful grounds, playing in the natural wooden play area, trip-trapping over bridges, watching water wheels turning and climbing very steep hills.
After a much-needed lunch, the children set about spotting features of the castle and were delighted to see arrow slits, battlements and heavy wooden doors.
Inside the castle, a blossom trail was followed, rooms were investigated and servant bells chimed. What a way to bring classroom learning to life.
