A poem about Year 5’s recent visit to Cornwall…

Taunton Prep School, in eager anticipation,
Set out on a journey of discovery and creation,
To the Eden Project, a wonder of science and art,
Where the beauty of nature is played out in part.
With each step they took, a new world unfurled,
As they walked through the biomes, a global pearl,
Of plant life so diverse, from every corner of the earth,
And the marvels of ecology, the intricacies of worth.
And from there, to Penzance they made their way,
To a town so rich in history and stories to say,
With cobbled streets and buildings of the past,
The tales of a time that forever would last.
To Carbis Bay they travelled, a place of pristine beauty,
With turquoise waters and sandy shores of duty,
A chance to bask in the sun and waves of the sea,
And marvel at the wonders of nature, oh so free.
And finally, to Porthcurno, where the land meets the sea,
A place of breathtaking vistas and a land so free,
Of white cliffs and azure waters, a canvas of bliss,
Where the spirit of adventure and wonder never miss.

Taunton Prep School, on this journey of discovery,
Found a world of beauty and inspiration, a sanctuary,
Where the marvels of nature and the wonders of man,
Collide and create a symphony, a vision so grand.
