Taunton School riders Hetty H, Year 12, Meg P, Year 11, Poppy T, Year 11 and Florence L, Year 8, all competed at the Royal Windsor Horse Show in the Inter-Schools National Final.

The team were awarded a wild card, after being recognised as the closest time to a winning team back in October.

The girls performed brilliantly on the day, walking the course with great skill and confidence. However, the most impressive thing was their teamwork, discussing with each other how best to ride and giving each other tips.

Each of the riders produced a beautiful clear round – everyone in the crowd was impressed with the composure each of the girls showed in their rounds.

The top three scores put the team in 2nd place out of a total of 20 teams who fought to win a place at Windsor. They were also the only team to record four clear rounds out of all 20 in the competition. Well done to the equestrian team.
