Saturday Enrichment has continued to go from strength to strength this team!

Our Year 7 and 8 students enjoyed an inspiring morning one Saturday led by Senior School teachers Mr Tarr and Mrs Mico who each delivered sessions designed to broaden pupils’ thinking about teamwork, personal development and character.

Mr Tarr introduced the boys to three influential theories of group and team development:

  • Tuckman’s Model, outlining the stages of forming, storming, norming and performing
  • Carron’s Model of group cohesion
  • Steiner’s Model of group effectiveness

These frameworks helped students understand how teams grow, adapt and achieve success. They were joined by students Monty, Casper and Oscar who led insightful small‑group discussions exploring what makes a positive culture, how individual behaviours influence team dynamics, and why being a good person on and off the pitch matters just as much as performance.

Meanwhile, Mrs Mico delivered a thought‑provoking Level Up session, encouraging students to step outside their comfort zones and take ownership of their identities. Through guided activities, the girls reflected on the importance of knowing their true selves and recognising the qualities that make healthy friendships and meaningful relationships. The session highlighted self‑awareness, respect and character as essential elements of personal growth.

The morning provided a valuable opportunity for students to reflect, collaborate and develop key skills that will serve them well both within school and beyond.
