Our U12 netball team had an incredible day at the IAPS National Finals at Cranleigh School, showcasing skill, teamwork, and resilience throughout the tournament.

The girls started strong in the group stages, winning all three matches convincingly. Some standout shooting from Clarabel and Cate helped secure these wins, and their teamwork on court was a joy to watch.

In the quarter-finals, Taunton faced a tough match against Millfield School. With the game tied, the girls drew energy from the cheering crowd, pushing through extra time with an excellent defense to claim a hard-fought victory. This win propelled them into the semi-finals against a very strong side, where they experienced their first loss of the day.

Determined to finish the day on a high, the team battled Bromsgrove in the 3rd/4th place playoff. After a thrilling match that went into extra time and a golden goal, the girls narrowly missed out on a medal.

However, finishing 4th in the country is a phenomenal achievement. The whole school is incredibly proud of the way the girls approached the day – with positivity, constant support for each other, and smiles on their faces throughout. Their sportsmanship and determination truly shone, and they represented the school brilliantly.

Well done to the U12 team for a memorable national finals experience!
