Our pupils are amazing, and so are the staff! The sun is out and the children are playing on Greenham. Everyone feels lifted and happier and is looking forward to the rest of the school year with a renewed spring in their step. We have all been affected by the misery of the rain and floods but the remarkable spirit of the Prep School has continued to shine through these dark months. There has not been a week where we have not celebrated an amazing achievement or listened to a phenomenal assembly or chapel.

The spirit of TPS is hard to explain but it can be felt in every interaction and celebration of what we hold dear. The last few weeks have been testament to this with all the hard work and commitment of January and February coming to fruition with any number of successes. A first for us has been the Esports and Coding Club, run by Mr Stepney, winning the British Championships. At the same time, Mr Woodhall has been honing the Green Goblin so that it is ready for its track day in May – there cannot be many Prep Schools which offer the chance to be a racing driver!

From sport through to performing arts, our staff continue to inspire children to find their passions and try new things. This constant desire to offer more and to ensure that all children feel excited by each school day drives us all on and shows the power of a Prep School education.

I am always proud of the children at TPS for being self-starters, for opting in and for being kind and inclusive in how they conduct themselves but after the slog of this term, the countless wet breaks and soggy carpets we should also remember the staff who drive these standards and make something extraordinary for each child to thrive in.
