Charity at TSIMS

This term the students at TSIMS have been doing their bit for the community with a number of events to raise money for charities that are important to them.

Firstly, the students celebrated World Book Day with a bake sale. The money raised will go towards buying books for Sangay, the boy that the students sponsor to go to school in the Himalayas. They also spent the day making their own bookmarks and dropping what they were doing to pick up their books and read.

Money was also raised in aid of Comic Relief on Red Nose Day with a non-uniform day and cookie sale. Everyone had a fun day wearing their red noses and eating cookies.

Mother’s Day

TSIMS celebrated Mother’s Day early this year with a trip to their local church. They learnt about the story of Moses and his mother with the help of a few volunteers to act it out and some excellent readers. The service ended with the students handing out daffodils to the people who visited the church.

Paintball

The final trip of the term for TSIMS students was paintballing. They had great fun playing several games that put their team work to the test. Everyone had a great time despite getting covered in paint.

Easter

Ahead of the Easter break, this term ended with an Easter egg hunt. Every student was on the hunt for eggs to win the biggest prize. To round off the celebrations, everyone took part in an inter-tutor tag rugby competition.
