Prep Pupils Make a Splash in House Swimming Week
House Swimming is a fun and lively event where all four Prep houses compete against each other in various individual and relay races, including the 100m Individual Medley, all four strokes (either over 50m or 25m), and the 4x25m Freestyle and Medley Relays.
House Swimming is a great opportunity for pupils to appreciate the importance and joy of teamwork, even within an individual sport such as swimming. There has been lots of great swimming, some competitive races, and lots of cheering from the poolside.
Over the course of the three events, more than 250 pupils took part in their respective house galas. Every pupil from Years 3 to 6 swam at least two strokes for their house and participated in a relay. In Years 7 and 8, well over 100 pupils took on the challenge and represented their house in at least one stroke, with the majority doing far more.
