A Message from the Head of Pre-Prep & Nursery
Now that we have reached the end of the spring term, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the wonderful progress and achievements of our Pre-Prep and Nursery children.
It has been a joy to witness the growth and development of each child throughout this term. In our Pre-Prep classes, we have seen remarkable achievements from mastering basic numeracy and literacy skills to exploring the world around them through science and creative arts, every day has been filled with curiosity and discovery. Year 2 had their first sports fixture, followed by their Performing Arts Cafe and I couldn’t have been prouder of the way they represented the school so well. Meanwhile, in Year 1 the children showed great enthusiasm during their trip to Lyme Regis, despite the very wet weather, and their behaviour was exemplary! Reception’s sharing assembly was a wonderful event, demonstrating just how much the children have grown in confidence, thank goodness they made it back from Outer Space!
Our Nursery children have continued to flourish under the care and guidance of our dedicated staff. They have embraced new experiences and begun to build the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. From a colourful paint party for Holi Fest to cooking food to celebrate Chinese New Year, the children have smiled and laughed every day. We have seen some of our youngest children take their first steps, while others have mastered scooting for the first time, and it is a privilege to be able to celebrate this with parents too.
I am incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication shown by our teaching team. Their passion for early childhood education shines through in creating such a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child feels valued.
As we look ahead to the summer term, I am excited to see what new adventures and opportunities await our children and to watch them grow into confident, compassionate individuals.
Wishing you all a restful and enjoyable break, and I look forward to welcoming you back for another term of learning and fun.
