Prep ‘Green Goblin’ Racing Car Back Up and Running for 25/26 Season
The KS3 STEM Club has been busy over the last couple of weeks, with one of the students’ main projects being to get the ‘green goblin’ racing car back up and running.
Students set about rewiring and reconnecting the batteries correctly under the guidance of Mr Woodhall.
Tests were then carried out running the car where a few issues were discovered in the drive belt slipping when the car starts. However, with some refinement this issue is now solved!
On Parents’ Day the car was running but unfortunately suddenly stopped. Investigations were carried out and it turned out to be a blown fuse. The fuse has now been replaced, and the car is back up and running ready for racing in 2025/26!
