Students Qualify for National Swimming Championships
With school lessons now over until September, students are currently enjoying additional time to invest in their hobbies and passions which means additional opportunities to finesse their racing skills, prior to some season ending racing.
The Aquatics Next Gen Championships take place in Sheffield from 16th-23rd July 2026. Entry is by invitation, only for the top 24 ranked swimmers in their age groups, following performances achieved during the qualification window (March to May). We are delighted to share that Year 11 Liberty J has qualified to race in the 50m and 100m freestyle!
The Swim England National Summer Meet runs from 27th July-1st August and is Swim England‘s biggest domestic swimming event of the year, designed to showcase high levels of competitive swimming. Following the Next Gen Championships, the next highest ranked swimmers from Swim England affiliated clubs are invited to attend. Liberty will be racing the 200m and 400m freestyle alongside Year 8 Rebecca N who will be racing the 200m breaststroke.
Tom A (Year 8) achieved six qualification times and will race 50m & 100m freestyle, 50m & 100m backstroke and 50m & 100m butterfly at the Swim Wales Summer National Championships that take place from 29th July-2nd August.
Well done everyone and good luck.
