We’re delighted to announce the upcoming renovation of our Gwyn Williams Room – a much-loved and extensively used music space that has supported countless recitals, ensemble rehearsals, and individual performances over the years.

This exciting project has been made possible thanks to the incredibly generous donations received during our first Giving Day last September.

At the heart of our musical life, this room will soon be transformed into an even more inspiring environment, further enhancing and expanding our exceptional music provision.

Working in close collaboration with our Music Department, contractors are carefully refining the design to ensure the redeveloped space meets the full range of our students’ musical needs. Planned improvements include:
• Specialist acoustic timber panelling to optimise sound quality
• A refreshed, modern interior and new flooring, reflecting the highest standard of contemporary recital halls
• Removal of the current stage, creating a more versatile space for rehearsals and performances
• Upgraded lighting and enhanced audio-visual facilities
• The addition of a Steinway grand piano
