‘Honours’ Achievement in Vanguard Speech & Drama Exams
TPS pupils, in year-groups ranging from Year 3 to Year 8 took their Vanguard Speech & Drama exams. The pupils worked incredibly hard in our Speech & Drama lessons, preparing various scripted scenes, improvisations, mimed scenes, poetry and prepared reading for their examinations, which ranged from Junior Grade 1 to Junior Silver Badge. As a result of their superb work, the children’s results were outstanding. The average mark of the Vanguard examination results was 88% and 17 children were awarded with a mark in the ‘Honours’ banding (a mark of 90% or greater). This is a really fantastic achievement.
Our examiner, Thalia Squire, was excellent, as always, and made the children feel really comfortable and confident in their exams, meaning that everyone came out of the exam room feeling positive and with a smile.
