Taunton School recently unveiled its state-of-the-art golf simulator, ‘The Westy,’ in memory of OT Iain Westwater. This facility has revolutionised the way our Prep School pupils engage with golf, especially in winter. Regardless of the weather, pupils can now practice year-round on world-renowned courses, improving their skills and performance.

Prep School pupils have been using the simulator to refine their swing mechanics, techniques, and course management strategies. The detailed feedback provided by the simulator helps them understand their strengths and areas for improvement, enabling efficient practice sessions.

The simulator also facilitates professional coaching, providing students with personalised instruction to enhance their game. For many young golfers, practicing in a controlled environment boosts their confidence and performance in tournaments.

Beyond serious practice, the simulator offers a fun and engaging way for pupils to learn golf, encouraging more students to participate.
