We were honoured to welcome hockey legend Nan Williams to Taunton Prep School in January to speak to us about her career playing for England and the journey she took to get there.

Pupils were in awe listening to Nan talk about her life and career, which includes playing at Wembley Stadium and around the world, and in more recent years working at The Hockey Museum. Pupils were also amazed to hear how different school was back in Nan’s day, with PE lessons and hockey games being a particular contrast to today – especially for girls. 

A huge thank you, Nan, for your time. Pupils left feeling appreciative of Nan’s contribution to the world of hockey and inspired to continue on their own hockey and sporting journeys.
