Throughout December and January, the cricket coaching team welcomed Trull, North Town, Parkfield, Bishops Henderson & St Mary’s, Bridgwater Primary Schools to the fantastic cricket facilities in Taunton School. The schools played in an indoor cricket tournament and follow‑up training sessions. This was only the second time the indoor tournament has taken place, and it was fantastic to see all competitors both compete and then engage so fully with the follow up training sessions.

The feedback from staff and pupils was overwhelmingly positive, and it was a pleasure to provide such a valuable cricketing experience to our local primary schools. In addition, the standard of cricket on display was outstanding, with pupils showing impressive skill, enthusiasm, and teamwork.

As a result of the high quality of play, all participating schools were invited back for an additional hardball training session – an opportunity they embraced brilliantly. We are already looking forward to hosting an outdoor tournament in the summer and welcoming everyone back under sunny skies.
